Ferrocement Tank (Underground)
Construction of this tank is similar to the coconut coir cement tank. However instead of using coconut coir, steel meshes are used for reinforcement. A weld mesh (10-15 gauges) is wrapped with galvanized chicken mesh on both sides with the help of binding wire. It is then kept over the brick work and plastered with mortar (cement 1: sand 3). Finally it is finished and cured properly with water for minimum 8 days.
