Farm Pond
A farm pond of desired size is excavated and it can be used for storing the surface runoff. Farm pond is either used as storage or as recharge pond or for both the purposes. The stored water percolates and helps in increasing the water table of the surrounding area. Stored water can also be used during dry days. If we desire to store water then the surface of the pond needs to be lined by some method.
