Ferrocement Tank ( Above the ground)

A circular tank is built on an elevated platform (6 to 9 inches).Initially, a frame is erected on the platform. “L” shaped steel bars of 8mm (both sides 3 feet) are kept at bottom of the tank to support the structure. As explained earlier, skeleton of chicken mesh and weld mesh is then wrapped around the frame. Then it is plastered with mortar (cement 1: sand 3). The bottom portion fo the tank is also finished with morter (cement 1 : metal 1: sand 3 ). Finally, after removing the frame, inside part is also plastered as discussed above and both sides are finished and cured properly.
